Hola, Bienvenido a Beginners Spanish
Hello and welcome to Beginners Spanish. This is an experiment, an allfm radio show with a difference. If you want to learn basic Spanish to make your travels a little more fun, perhaps to communicate with your Spanish-speaking friends and neighbours, or get more out of your summer holidays, this may just be the show for you.
With most radio shows, you listen. With Spanish For Beginners, you listen and speak. If you ONLY listen, you will listen to me learning Spanish. If YOU want to learn Spanish – you have to speak out loud and follow along. After the show, you can download it and practice again at your own pace, time and place. Here is what we have planned.
- Spanish for beginners will go out on Allfm.org at 1pm Every other Tuesday starting on 5th November 2024.
- Our teacher is Pablo Pascoe. He has been teaching Spanish for many years. Originally from Mexico, he now lives in Manchester.
- Initially, the objective is not to learn the syntax or the grammar but to understand and speak simple phrases and sentences.
- There are not many requirements or rules. You don’t need to buy any books or do any homework. We recommend a public domain free pdf Spanish 101. It is a free download and whilst not compulsory – it is highly recommended.
- Each hour-long program goes out every other Tuesday at 1 pm starting on Tuesday 5th November.
- There will be four programs altogether in what is left of 2024. Specifically 5th, 19th November, 3rd and 17th December.
- This is an experiment. We are making this up as we go. Feel free to join in.
- What will happen in 2025? We don’t know. Perhaps you can help us decide. Let us know via Facebook, Twitter, or email – choose here.
